In a London rental the oven often comes up twice: at the check-in inventory and again when you leave.
Surface sprays shift fresh grease. They don’t shift carbon that has been baked on at full heat for a few hundred Sunday roasts: the back wall, the door glass, the racks. That takes time and technique, and the price is built from exactly that time.
The price follows the state of the oven
Four levels, four different jobs
At the platform’s default times a single oven is 5 minutes at “Quick wipe”, 10 at “Thorough wipe”, 60 at “Scrubbing required” and 90 at “Extremely dirty”.
Bigger ovens, more cavities
At “Scrubbing required” a double oven is 80 minutes and a range cooker 100. The hob adds 30 minutes and the extractor 20 at the same level.
Pick honestly and the price holds
Choose “Thorough wipe” for an oven that needs scrubbing and your provider will send a priced request on the day, which you can accept or decline.
What you can expect at the end
A clean interior, door glass, racks and trays. Old enamel can keep some staining after a thorough clean; your provider will tell you if a mark is staining rather than dirt.

The oven must work
Providers clean ovens; they don’t repair or service them. Make sure it is switched off and cool when they arrive.
Tell us if it is self-cleaning
Pyrolytic or catalytic ovens can have liners that mustn’t be treated with products. Say so when you book.
Cookers outside the three types
The booking covers single, double and range ovens. For a cooker that doesn’t fit those, ask for a custom quote and providers will price it.
Honest limit: a professional clean removes carbon and grease, not damage. Scratched enamel, crazed glass and worn seals stay as they are.

If your provider finds more than you described, they send an additional payment request through the platform with a description and a price. You accept or decline it, and it expires after 1 hour. Decline it and they clean what you booked, to the standard you booked. If something you selected isn’t there, you aren’t charged for it.

How much does oven cleaning cost in London?
A single oven with the hob, both at “Scrubbing required”, is 90 minutes of work at the platform’s default times; with the extractor as well it is 110 minutes.
Your provider’s hourly rate turns those minutes into a fixed price, and most providers set a minimum call-out. Both are in the total you see before you book.
We don’t have enough London oven cleans yet to publish prices, and we won’t guess. Your request shows you each provider’s total before you decide anything.

Why prices vary between providers
Cleanifiq is a marketplace: each provider sets their own hourly rate and minimum call-out. The platform turns the oven, level and extras you choose into a fixed total for each provider, so you compare like with like and pick on price, reviews and dates.
Oven cleaning in London: where we are
Cleanifiq is only starting out in London, so we can’t yet show local prices, areas or provider numbers for oven cleaning. The booking rules are the same as everywhere: the price before you book, payment held until the job is done, and extras only with your yes.
Tenants in England: a landlord can’t charge you a fee for professional cleaning under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, but deductions from a protected deposit can cover cleaning needed to restore the check-in condition. Dated photos of a clean oven settle that quickly.

Oven cleaning in London: your questions
- At the platform’s default times a single oven at “Scrubbing required” is about an hour, and an hour and a half with the hob. A range cooker in a bad state, with the hob and extractor, can take over two hours.
- Yes, if you tick it when you book the end of tenancy clean. Book the oven on its own only when the rest of the property doesn’t need cleaning.
- Make sure the oven is switched off and cool, the kitchen is accessible, and anything stored inside is taken out. Tell us when you book if it is a self-cleaning model.
- Yes. Choose “Double” or “Range” in the booking, so the extra cavities are in the price from the start.
- We are still building our London provider network, so coverage depends on your postcode. Request prices and you will see straight away whether a provider can take the job. It is free, and you only pay if you book.
- For fixed-price cleaning your provider brings professional equipment and cleaning products, a 3-step ladder and an extension pole. You can ask for regular, eco-friendly or pet-friendly products when you book.
- Before a provider can take bookings we check photo ID, proof of address and public liability insurance, plus a criminal record check (Basic Disclosure Scotland or equivalent) and right to work where it applies. Documents with expiry dates are re-checked when they expire. New providers are covered by Cleanifiq’s insurance for their first three jobs while their own cover is verified. Every review on a provider’s profile comes from a booked, paid job.
- Tell us within 48 hours of the job, with photos or a short video of what isn’t right. Your provider has 48 working hours to come back and put it right at no cost to you, and we hold their payment until it’s settled. If they can’t or won’t, you choose: the value of the unfinished items back as a refund or Cleanifiq credit, a new provider for just those items (you see the price first), or both.
- You choose at checkout: pay a deposit (20% of the job, or the provider’s minimum call-out fee if that’s higher) or pay in full. If you pay a deposit, the balance is due by 7:30am on the day of the job. Your money goes to Cleanifiq, not the provider, and is released to the provider only after they’ve completed the job on the platform. There is no customer fee: the price you see is the price you pay.
- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and London providers.
