Fix the date, then book
Once your moving date is fixed, book the clean for that day or the day after. Booked ahead, there is no same-day (+50% by default) or next-day (+25%) surcharge.

Clean before the furniture, not with it
A provider and a removal crew in the same rooms slow each other down. Book the hours before the van arrives, or the day before if you already have the keys.

Power and water on
Your provider brings the equipment and products, but needs electricity and running water at the property, hot if possible.

Fridge and freezer off and open
Switch them off and prop the doors open the night before, so the freezer has defrosted. Defrosting on the day is an extra.

How much does a move-in or move-out clean cost in Edinburgh?

An empty home usually costs more than a regular clean of the same size, because the insides are on the booking: inside the kitchen units alone is 45 minutes at Thorough wipe, and an oven 60 minutes at Scrubbing required. There is no booking fee: the price you see is the price you pay.

Your provider has 48 working hours to come back and put it right, at no cost to you, and we hold their payment until it is settled. If they can't or won't, you choose: we return the value of the unfinished items (worked out from your original quote) as a refund or as Cleanifiq credit, we set up a new, smaller job for just those items with another provider (you see the price before confirming anything), or both.
- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and Edinburgh providers. If your provider cancels, you never pay a cancellation fee: you choose a replacement provider (you see their price first) or a full refund.
