Plenty of companies sell a “deep clean” that turns out to be a regular clean done a bit slower. On Cleanifiq the difference is built into the price, and you can see it.

If it's worse than scrubbing, say so. Extremely dirty exists for heavy build-up. Homes after long-term neglect, a bereavement, or with pests or waste need a conversation first: send photos through a custom quote and providers will price it properly. That is safer for you and for them.
And if something’s missed, tell us within 48 hours with a photo. Your provider has 48 working hours to come back and fix it, free, and we hold their payment until it’s settled.
Honest limit: older surfaces can keep some staining even after a thorough deep clean (worn enamel, etched glass, discoloured grout). Your provider will tell you on the day if something won’t come out.

A deep clean covers a lot, but not everything a home can throw at it. Anything beyond what you booked is explained and priced by your provider on the day.
If your provider finds more than you described, they send an additional payment request through the app with a description and a price. You accept or decline it, and it expires after an hour. Decline it and they clean what you booked, to the level you booked.
Always pay through Cleanifiq, including for anything added on the day: work paid for privately falls outside our guarantee and our dispute resolution.

Tenants and landlords
In England a landlord can't make a tenant pay for a professional clean (Tenant Fees Act 2019), but the property still has to go back in the condition recorded at check-in, fair wear and tear aside. A deep clean with dated photos is the simplest way for either side to show that.
Deposits sit in a government-approved scheme (Deposit Protection Service, mydeposits or Tenancy Deposit Scheme), and disputes go to the scheme’s free resolution service.

- The work is very similar; the difference is the promise. An end of tenancy clean has to pass your landlord's, agent's or inventory clerk's inspection: if the inspection flags something within 7 working days of the clean, your provider goes back to fix it at no cost. Moving out? Book end of tenancy. Staying? Book a deep clean.
- It depends on the size and the levels you pick. At default times a 2-bed flat with the kitchen appliances done inside is about 9.3 hours of work, so a team of two finishes in roughly half that. Your provider confirms the timing when you book.
- It helps, and it's cheaper. Inside empty cupboards and an empty fridge are part of the clean; cleaning around or removing items is an extra your provider prices on the day. Defrost the freezer beforehand, or add defrosting as an extra.
- Yes. Select only those areas, or set the rest of the home to Quick wipe.
- Yes. Set the rooms that took the hit to Scrubbing required and the rest to Thorough wipe or Quick wipe. Spills on carpets or sofas can go on the same visit with carpet and upholstery cleaning. - Yes. Your provider brings professional equipment and cleaning products, a 3-step ladder and an extension pole. You can ask for regular, eco-friendly or pet-friendly products when you book.
- Tell us within 48 hours of the clean, with photos or a short video of what isn't right. Your provider has 48 working hours to come back and put it right, at no cost to you, and we hold their payment until it is settled. If they can't or won't, you choose: we return the value of the unfinished items (worked out from your original quote) as a refund or as Cleanifiq credit, we set up a new, smaller job for just those items with another provider (you see the price before confirming anything), or both.
- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and Manchester providers. If your provider cancels, you never pay a cancellation fee: you choose a replacement provider (you see their price first) or a full refund.
- Before a provider can take bookings we check photo ID, proof of address and public liability insurance, plus a criminal record check (Basic Disclosure Scotland or equivalent) and right to work where it applies. For companies we check a director’s ID, the business address, public liability insurance and Companies House status. A new provider is covered by Cleanifiq’s insurance for their first three jobs while their own cover is verified. Every review on a provider’s profile comes from a booked, paid job. - No. Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019 a landlord or letting agent in England can't require you to pay for a professional clean. You do have to return the home in the condition it was let in, allowing for fair wear and tear; if it isn't, the landlord can claim a reasonable cost from the deposit through the deposit scheme. Moving out? End of tenancy cleaning comes with a free return visit if the check-out inspection flags something.
