Each level has a set time per area. The bathroom takes longest: 15 minutes at Quick wipe, 30 at Thorough wipe, 60 when it needs scrubbing. Your provider's hourly rate turns that time into a fixed price before you book. Two providers can quote differently because they charge different rates; the work being priced is the same.
Anything extra is asked, not added
If your provider finds more than you described, they send an additional payment request through the app with a description and a price. You accept or decline it, and it expires after an hour. Decline it and they clean what you booked, to the level you booked.
Your money waits for the work
You pay through Cleanifiq, never to the provider directly, and the provider is paid after the job. If something isn't right, tell us within 48 hours with a photo; your provider has 48 working hours to come back and fix it at no cost.
Small print, said plainly: a Thorough wipe won't shift years of limescale or grease. If a room hasn't been properly cleaned in a long time, pick Scrubbing required, or book a deep clean instead.

Tenement and Georgian flats often have tall rooms and large windows. Inside glass on a large window or glass door is priced as a 'picture window', not a regular one, so pick the right type in the windows step.

- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and Edinburgh providers.
