Selling, or handing over
Once the removal van has gone, an empty-home clean leaves the place ready for the buyer. Selling while you still live there? Book the rooms that show at viewings instead, at the level they need.
Landlords between tenants
Clean the empty home before the new tenant's check-in inventory. What the inventory records at the start is what their check-out will be judged against, so a clean then sets the standard you can expect back.

Fix the date, then book
Once your moving date is fixed, book the clean for that day or the day after. Booked ahead, there is no same-day (+50% by default) or next-day (+25%) surcharge.

Clean before the furniture, not with it
A provider and a removal crew in the same rooms slow each other down. Book the hours before the van arrives, or the day before if you already have the keys.

Power and water on
Your provider brings the equipment and products, but needs electricity and running water at the property, hot if possible.

Fridge and freezer off and open
Switch them off and prop the doors open the night before, so the freezer has defrosted. Defrosting on the day is an extra.

Keys can be collected and returned: your provider records the return with a photo and is not paid until it is recorded or you confirm you have them.

Photos before the clean
Dated photos of the home as you got it are your record if anything turns out to be damaged. For a tenancy check-out, the inventory is what counts.
How much does a move-in or move-out clean cost in Manchester?

- No. Many customers leave keys. If keys need collecting, tell us when you need them back: your provider records the return with a photo, and isn't paid until that's recorded or you confirm you have them.
- Tell us within 48 hours of the clean, with photos or a short video of what isn't right. Your provider has 48 working hours to come back and put it right, at no cost to you, and we hold their payment until it is settled. If they can't or won't, you choose: we return the value of the unfinished items (worked out from your original quote) as a refund or as Cleanifiq credit, we set up a new, smaller job for just those items with another provider (you see the price before confirming anything), or both.
- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and Manchester providers. If your provider cancels, you never pay a cancellation fee: you choose a replacement provider (you see their price first) or a full refund.
- If you're buying, book the clean for completion day itself or the next morning, before the van. Booked ahead, there's no short-notice surcharge. If you're selling, the clean has to happen before you hand over the keys, so book it for the day before completion.
